Al Ostoura Unveils First Alexander McQueen Boutique in Thuraya Complex
Al Ostoura, Kuwait’s leading luxury fashion retailer takes great pleasure in announcing the opening of the first Alexander McQueen boutique in Kuwait. The new shop is located on the ground floor at the Al Thuraya Complex, one of the most prestigious shopping venues. Al Ostoura is dedicating this boutique exclusively to the Alexander McQueen collection for women offering signature Alexander McQueen tailored separates, cocktail dresses and evening gowns.
The design of the store follows the concept conceived by Lee Alexander McQueen and the architect William Russell where a traditional store format is re-invented. The overall feel is that of a softly lit organic space where all straight lines have been removed and where each area merges into the next.
Jonathan Akeroyd, President and CEO of Alexander McQueen says, “We have had a positive and rewarding working relationship with Al Ostoura already and I am delighted to develop this by bringing the first stand alone Alexander McQueen store to Kuwait.”
Days leading up to the opening, Al Ostoura’s management has expressed their excitement about the new Alexander McQueen boutique opening and has vowed to keep offering their customers the latest in the world of fashion.
Al Ostoura has been recognized for being an avant-garde fashion retailer in Kuwait since 1985. With more than 40 Monobrand and Multibrand boutiques spread throughout Kuwait, the company has grown to become one of the biggest fashion retailers in the country covering all market segments.

Spring is approaching and the shops are getting more colourful every week with their spring collections. Coloured trousers, coloured denim, coloured chinos, block colours, pastel colours. When it comes to makeup, coloured nail polish is so trendy now but what about lipstick? hair? This spring several makeup brands surprised us with turquoise and blue lipstick that matches the colour of the eyeshadow? Would you go to that extreme? What about hair colour? Pastel purple and blue are also a trend now! But who would do that? Would you?

Marc Jacobs, Elie Tahari, Roberto Cavalli among others, all went crazy for turbans! coloured, jewelled, or simply black and plain. I prefer the ones like headbands which do not cover the top of the head otherwise I think I'd look like a Sikh!
